Baby-Bonding for Non-Gestational Parents: evidence-base and supportive techniques for LGBTQIA2+, adoptive, and foster parents

In 2019, Rebecca birthed her first child. The lack of Queer and Trans-affirming care for pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting was glaring. After a gazillion “Who’s the mother?”’ questions and generally feeling invisibilized in the holistic medicine community, she founded Spectrum Chinese Medicine (https://www.spectrumchinesemedicine.com). Here, East Asian and evidence-based medicine meet in service to joyful and gender-affirming care for Queer and trans folks trying to conceive, those who are pregnant and postpartum, their babies, and LGBTQIA-2+ youth.
